Initial Declarations

DataBraid's use and transfer of information received from Third-Party APIs to any other app will adhere to Third-Party API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Welcome to DataBraid, a platform designed to allow users to build AI automations seamlessly. We understand the significance of your personal information and prioritize its protection. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and share your information in accordance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us Directly

  • Account Information: Username, email address, password, and other information you provide when signing up.
  • User Content: Automations, uploaded files, configurations, and other user-generated content.
  • Communications: Messages, feedback, and other communications you send to us.

2.2 Information We Get From Third Parties

  • OAuth Tokens: We receive and store encrypted OAuth tokens when you authenticate through third-party services.

  • To provide, maintain, and enhance DataBraid.
  • To communicate with you, respond to your queries, or provide feedback.
  • To safeguard our platform and users.
  • To perform research and analysis to improve our services.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Data

4.1 Data Storage

  • Your encrypted OAuth tokens and other uploaded files are stored securely in our databases located in the EU.
  • All data is encrypted at rest.
  • We only retain your data for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy.

4.2 Data Protection

  • We employ industry-standard encryption techniques to ensure the confidentiality of your data.
  • We limit access to your data only to employees who need it to provide services to you.

5. Sharing of Your Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. However, we do share specific data with third-party AI tools to enable core functionalities within DataBraid. This includes data explicitly provided by you within the nodes of our automation builder. The only data shared with these third parties is the data you explicitly pass into the associated node.

5.1 When Data Is Shared

  • The only data we share is the data you explicitly pass into the associated node reliant on a third-party service.
  • For example, the node that writes to a Google Doc will only be provided with the information you input for writing into the document.
  • In order to use any node that interfaces with a third-party tool, you must explicitly authenticate with that provider as enforced by the platform.

We ensure that these third-party providers adhere to strict data protection and privacy standards comparable to ours and are compliant with the GDPR.

DataBraid is fully committed to protecting your data and does not use it to train Artificial Intelligence models. DataBraid does not share customer data with third-party AI model providers with the purpose of improving their products and/or models. If users desire to opt-out from any data being sent from their DataBraid account to any third-party integration, they can do so by emailing privacy@databraid.eu. In some cases, data uploaded by users to DataBraid might be sent to third-party model providers for the purpose of inference, if the user executes a workflow.

DataBraid may provide the ability to connect to third-party sites. These sites may operate independently from DataBraid and have their own independent privacy policies. You should review their privacy policies individually. If DataBraid does not own the sites, we are not responsible for their content, and/or privacy practices.

When you provide a key to access a third-party service, you are subject to the terms and conditions of that third party. DataBraid is not responsible for the use of your data by these third parties. The responsibility for the data usage policies and practices of the third party rests with the user who provides the key for access.

Except for the cases below, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personal Information.

  • We may disclose your Personal Information to third-party service providers (for example, payment processing and data storage and processing facilities) that we use to provide the Services.
  • We limit the Personal Information provided to these service providers to that which is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions, and we require them to agree to maintain the confidentiality of such Personal Information.
  • We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our Site visitors.
  • These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.
  • We may share your Personal Information with other companies owned by or under common ownership as DataBraid, which is a brand of Mindgeist S.L. This also includes our subsidiaries (i.e., any organization Mindgeist S.L. owns or controls).
  • These companies will use your Personal Information in the same way as we can under this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise specified.
  • We may also release your Personal Information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others' rights, property, or safety.
  • In particular, we may release your Personal Information to third parties as required to (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, subpoena/court order, legal process or other government request, (ii) enforce our Terms of Service, including the investigation of potential violations thereof, (iii) investigate and defend ourselves against any third party claims or allegations, (iv) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of DataBraid, its users or the public as required or permitted by law and (v) detect, prevent or otherwise address criminal (including fraud or stalking), security or technical issues.
  • If you enable a public sharing of your DataBraid applications, any information or content that you voluntarily disclose in your application becomes available to the public. If you remove information that you posted to the Services, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Service, or if other users of the Services have copied or saved that information.
  • In the event that we enter into, or intend to enter into, a transaction that alters the structure of our business, such as a merger, reorganization, joint venture, assignment, sale, or change of ownership, we may share Personal Information for the purpose of facilitating and completing the transaction.

5.2 Data from Google APIs

Databraid's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Your Choices and Rights

6.1 Access and Update

  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data provided to DataBraid.

6.2 Data Portability

  • You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly-used, and machine-readable format.

6.3 Consent Withdrawal

  • Where your data processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.
  • You can do so from the /dashboard/connections page.

6.4 Explicit Consent for Data Sharing

  • Before sharing your data with any third-party AI tools, we require your explicit consent.
  • This consent is obtained through visiting your profile page and explicitly approving DataBraid's scoped access to the third-party service.
  • You can withdraw your consent and opt out of data sharing at any time from the same page you used to originally authenticate.
  • Opting out may affect the functionality of certain features that rely on these third-party AI tools.

7. Third-Party Services

When you authenticate with third-party services, including the third-party AI tools mentioned above, you are governed by their respective privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with these external policies.

8. Children's Privacy

DataBraid is not designed for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from anyone under 16, in compliance with the GDPR.

9. User Uploaded Files

We maintain a stringent policy concerning user-uploaded files. We do not view or interact with any uploaded files unless we receive explicit authorization from the user who uploaded the file.

10. Cookies

DataBraid uses cookies for operational purposes only and not for tracking or advertising purposes.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you either by email or through a notification in our platform.
